Since inception of the Apparel Training Centre there were only male students in the center for training. It was a new beginning when recently four girls joined the Apparel Training Centre for learning apparel design skill for their livelihood and all four of them come from economically poor families. They reside nearby RCML factory area. They got to know of the training centre from employees of the RCML factory and were motivated by them to acquire this skill. As they were interested in garment sector .They have been integrated into the programme.
Centre is well equipped with good infrastructure facilities required for the training and has been functioning effectively since 1st April 2009. It provides training to 21 trainees.
We also have visiting ATDC faculty twice a week for technical guidance and moral support.
By June 2010 the first batch of the students will be passing out. Who will prove to be an asset to garment industry.

This training will be conducted by Mr. Subbaraja (Lead Auditor, Rina India). This Training will be provided to Tirupur garment industry employees. The expected participants are about 50-60 garment industry workers.
Objective of the training:-To disseminate knowledge on SA 8000 vital principles, practices and industrial relations among the labourers of SA 8000 certified Garment Industries.
To create perceptive of the rights and welfare of labourers under SA 8000 principles for the SA 8000 certified Garment Industry labourers.
To make realization about the position of Garment Industrial labourers in the industries for the presidents and representatives of the Trade Unions through Group
Prakruthi Opened A New Learning Centre In Asifabad
As per the part of Education project, Prakruthi has opened a new learning centre at “Belgam- A” village in Asifabad, Andhra Pradesh on 11th March 2010.
As of now there are 25 students in the learning centre.
